Michael Golino, 23, and Justin Hogan, 21, have been charged with embezzling from the Fairfax County Park Authority.
WASHINGTON – Two Fairfax County Park Authority employees have been charged with embezzlement for stealing cash from park proceeds, county police said Thursday.

Michael Andrew Golino, 23, of Falls Church and Justin Thomas Hogan, 21, of Sterling, were arrested after an investigation, started in July, led officials to believe the two have been lining their pockets with dollars raised by park activities, police said.

Park authority officials launched the investigation after receiving a tip that employees at the Water Mine Facility at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston were involved in an embezzling scheme.

Police would not say how much cash was stolen.

The investigation is ongoing and additional suspects may be charged. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-866-411-TIPS/8477 or 703-691-2131.
