Doctor charged with false Medicaid, Medicare billing: A Prince George’s County foot doctor was charged with falsely billing the Medicaid and Medicare programs, the Maryland Attorney General’s Office announced Monday. Edward Michael Horvath, 50, of Laurel, was charged with falsely billing the programs over a five-year period for podiatry services that he did not perform. The charging documents do not state the amount that he is accused of stealing, only that it is more than $500. Horvath’s podiatry practice is based in Prince George’s County and he submitted his requests for payment to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in Baltimore.
