Police bust up robbery attempt

Police arrested Gilbert Gaisey, 20, of Woodbridge, Anthony Gilliom, 18, of Woodbridge and Thomas Humphrey IV, 20, of Bristow after they attacked a man in Dale City and demanded money.
Prince William County police arrested three men after disrupting a robbery late Thursday, county police said.

A 41-year-old Dale City man was punched in the face by one of three men who approached him demanding money outside a convenience store on the 14700 block of Darbydale Avenue in Dale City. The three men continued their attack, kicking and punching him.

But the Dale City man fought back with a wooden stick he picked up off the ground. His friend jumped into the fracas just as the police arrived.

Police arrested Gilbert Gaisey, 20, of Woodbridge, Anthony Gilliom, 18, of Woodbridge and Thomas Humphrey IV, 20, of Bristow.
