GOP v. Dems at the bar

By Jeff Dufour and Patrick Gavin

Since most elections seem to boil down to one simple question -- "Which candidate would you rather grab a beer with?" -- why not explore the politics of drinking generally?

A survey issued this week by Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., in collaboration with Clarus Research Group does just that.

Better tipper? Democrats (60-38%). Better toast givers? Democrats (63-36%). First to arrive? Republicans (50-48%). Last to go home? Democrats (53-46%).
